There are different ways to send books and documents, in Mobi, PDF, ePub and other formats, to your Kindle. Email is one of the most convenient way. You can email the documents and books to yourself from other devices of your own, then download it on to any Kindle devices or Kindle apps. Your friends and family can also share with you their books and documents through email. Before they doing so however, you have to authorize their email address or add their email account to your Kindle approved email list. Today, we will show you how to approve an sender’s email address with screenshots in this article.
Visit Amazon website, sign in your account. Click Account & Lists from the upper right section to expand the drop-down menu and choose Your Content and Devices.
You will then open the Manage Your Content and Devices page. Click Preferences, scroll down the page until you find Personal Document Settings. Click on it, you can manage your email settings, personal documents, see below screenshot.
By default the Archiving option is enabled so personal documents sent to your Send-to-Kindle e-mail address will also be added to your Kindle library. Under Approved Personal Document E-Mail list, you will see the list of all authorized email addresses that you can receive files from. Click Add a new approved e-mail address, you will see a pop-up dialog where you can input a new email address to approve and select Add Address to authorize it. You can also add part of the email addresses to authorize multiple senders or email accounts, such as @yourdomainname.com.
From now on, documents sent from the approved email addresses will be delivered to you. These files will be automatically archieved in your Kindle library until you choose to delete them manually or turn off archiving for your account.
