Add text to photos on iPhone

It is said a picture is worth a thousand words. What if even a picture is not able to explain your idea? Try annotating them with markers and text. In this quick guide, we will discuss how you can easily add text to photos, markup photos on iPhone using the Markup tool. No third-party image editors needed.

How to add text to your photos on iPhone?

Open Photos app on iPhone. Find the photo in your Camera Roll or photo album. Tap Edit at the top right corner, select the ellipsis enclosed in a circle to pop up more option and choose Markup from the pop-up menu.

Touch the Add button (+ in a circle) go get another pop-up menu and choose Text. You can then type the text on the photo.

To customize how your text appears on the image, you can touch the Color button at the bottom to choose a different font color, tap the Size button to change font type, such as Helvetica, Georgia, Noteworthy, change font size, change font alignment, align text left or right, center text, or justify text, etc.
