How to add watermarks to GIF files on PC?

Just like any other image formats, you may want to add watermarks to your GIF files so as to show who the GIF files belong to and prevent infringement. You can impose an image or any text information, such as a company logo, company name, website, brand name, as the watermark to the GIF. There are numerous GIF editors to add watermark to GIF files. Choose Editor from the home screen to open it in a new window.

Click Load button under the File tab to find the GIF file saved on your computer and import it to the editor.

Switch to the Image tab from the top menu bar. Then choose Watermark from the toolbar. The Watermark sidebar appears on the right hand side. Click Select button to select an image, such as your brand name or logo, and add as watermark to all frames, images in the GIF file. Drag the border of the image to resize it and drag it anywhere on the canvas to reposition it. Finally hit the Apply button to add the watermark to GIF.

Go back to the File tab. Then click Save As, choose GIF in the File type section and select a preset from the list, tweak other settings if need, finally hit the Save button to export it as a new GIF file on to your PC.

Add text to image frames in GIF

Other than add an image as watermark to GIF files, this GIF editor also allows users to add text to images or frames of the GIF file. Under the Image tab, click Free Text, you will then have the options to type in any text, could it be your name, company name, brand name, website/domain name, contact information. You will be able to customize the font, style, weight, size, color, shadow, layout, finally hit Apply to save all the changes. Return to the File tab to export the edited GIF file to your computer as a new GIF file.
