Titanium Backup requires rooting

To back up data on Android phone using this app, you need firstly switch to the Backup & Restore tab.
Now you will see a list of all apps and games installed on your mobile phone, including both user installed apps and system apps. User apps will be highlighted in white, system services or apps will be in red, system service with useful data will be highlighted in green, useful & portable system data (XML) is highlighted in yellow. Find the app you like to back up from the list. In this demo, we are going to back up text messages on Android phone, so find and tap to open the Phone/Messaging Storage. Touch the Backup! button to back up the default messaging app and all sent and received text messages, multimedia messages on your phone.
How to restore data on Android phone using Titanium Backup?
Follow above instructions to run Titanium Backup app on the phone, switch to Backup/Restore, then find the app you like to restore data to. Now you should find the previous backup files and the Restore button in front of them. Note that the free version of Titanium Backup can only keep one copy of your backup. Any new backup would remove your existing backup.
Touch the Restore button, then Titanium Backup will restore text messages or any other backups to your Android mobile. Do NOT forget to reboot your phone after the data restore, otherwise you may not find the restored data on the phone.

Where are my backups saved?
If you have SD card installed on the phone, your backups will be saved in the “TitaniumBackup” directory on your SD card. If you do not have any SD card, the backups will be stored in the “TitaniumBackup” folder on your phone’s internal memory. You can manually change a new backup folder if you like.

This backup app can only create a backup of your data on the phone. You can export Titanium backups to computer. How can you tell whether your backup was successful?
Backup verification is not possible with the free version. You need to pay for the PRO/Donate version in order to get this feature. If you are using the paid version, go to Menu >> General >> Batch Actions, the first entry in the batch list runs a verification process.
