Today, we will share with FB Messenger users another way to block and unblock people in your Facebook account from the web on computer. When you block someone in Messenger, it doesn’t automatically block them on Facebook. However when you block someone in Facebook, it will automatically block them on Messenger. You can follow below instructions to block people or unblock people for the Messenger app on both Android and iPhone. That means you can block someone in your Facebook account using the web browser on computer, so this person will be blocked on Facebook Messenger app on iPhone, Android and more mobile phone. How to Block Someone in Facebook Messenger from the Web?
Visit https://www.facebook.com/ using a web browser on your PC or Mac, such as IE, Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. Log in your Facebook account with your username and password. Click on the lock icon from the top right corner to expand a drop-down menu like below.
From above Facebook Privacy Shortcuts menu, you can find a section “How do I stop someone from bothering me?” Input a name or email, then search and block people from there. Once you block people from Facebook website, when you run Messenger app on iPhone or Android, they will also be blocked in your Messenger app on the phone. iPhone users can also refer to this guide to block and unblock people in Facebook app on iPhone.
How to Unblock People in Facebook Messenger from the Web?
Once you block someone in FB Messenger app on iPhone or Android by mistake, you can also go to unblock them from Facebook website. It is the same as you unblock people in Messenger on Android phone or unblock people in Messenger app on iPhone.
Log on your Facebook account from a web browser on a PC or Mac, go to the Privacy Shortcuts menu, click View All Blocked Users, you can then find all people in your block list or blacklist.
To remove someone from your blacklist or this Blocked People list is easy, simply browse through the name list and click the Unblock button besides the Facebook user, you will then get a warning message about the consequences.
Read the unblock people notifications carefully, if you like to proceed, click the Confirm button to unblock the Facebook user.
