How to change Apple account password?
Open your web browser on computer, and visit the Apple ID recovery page from this link. Enter your Apple ID, which is your email address, it could be any valid email account you used to sign up the Apple account. It does not have to be an iCloud email account. Click the Continue button to get started.
The Reset Password screen opens with two options you need to select how you want to reset your password. You can choose to reset Apple account password through email or answering security questions. If you choose to reset Apple password via email, Apple will send you the instructions to your email address. If you select security questions password reset, Apple will ask you the questions you chose when you create the Apple ID. In this demo, we will pick up the email method.
Apple will send you the instructions to your email address immediately. Log on your email account to find this email. There will be a Apple account password reset link in this email. Click on this link, you will be taken to a new browser tab or window as below.
Now the New Apple ID Password page opens in your browser. You can now enter a new password of your Apple account. Reenter the same password another time, and click Reset Password button to complete. After that you will receive another email from Apple telling you that your Apple ID password has been reset.
