While Apple has made a good name for Mac OS X being easy to use. Well, it depends what you like to configure. Let’s take configuring the desktop picture as an example. To change the desktop background on a Windows PC, say Windows 7, what you need to do is to right click on the background picture file, then select Set as a desktop background. It is just that easy on Windows PC. However it isn’t exactly straightforward on Mac OS X.

To change the desktop, head to System Preferences, then choose Desktop and Screen Saver. There, you can add a picture from your hard drive and set it to your desktop.
