Did you select the wrong language during the initial setup and want to change the system language to your mother language in Windows 11? Microsoft’s Windows 11 OS supports dozens of interface languages. Users may switch to other languages easily from the system settings. You can follow below steps to download, install, add or change a new language in Windows 11.
Click the Windows logo or Start button from the task bar at the bottom to display the Start menu and choose Settings from there. The System Settings opens in a new window. Click on Time & language from the navigation panel on the left side then click the Language & region page on the right side.
Windows 11 displays the Windows display language at the top. In the middle, you will find the Add a language button with blue background under Language > Preferred languages. And all languages that are installed on your computer can be found at the lower section.
Windows display language is the system default language on your Windows 11 PC. The display language will apply throughout the experience, including the Sign-in screen, Settings app, File Explorer, Desktop, apps, browser, and the web.
Click on the Windows display language menu to see if the new language you like to set to the default language can be found there. Note that installed does not necessarily mean that it can be set as the display language.
If the target language is not yet installed on your computer, click the Add a language button, then search for the new language, you will then have the options to download the language pack, download and install the text-to-speech, speech recognition, and handwriting support.
If supported, you may also have the option to set it as your new Windows display language during the installation process of the new language.
Once installed, you will be asked to sign out and sign into the account to start using the new language.
