Windows allow users to directly create new files from the right-click context menu. Apps on Mac however can’t add options to context menu. If you are looking for a way to do it, iRightMouse is the perfect solution for that. This app is available for free on Mac App Store and it allows users to add up to 15 file types to the right-click menu in Finder on Mac, such as TXT, RTF, Office(Word, Excel, PPT), iWork, WPS, PSD, Ai, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, PSD, Markdown and so on.
Get this free app from previous linked page. Run it from the Launchpad. You will then be prompted to enable it as a Finder extension.
Enable Extension
The iRightMouse Finder extension must be enabled in System Preferences.
Click Open System Preferences button to open the Extensions window, click to choose iRightMouseExtension.
You will then be able to customize the right-click context menu as you wish.
On its New File tab, you can select and add various file types to the Finder context menu, like TXT, RTF, Office(Word, Excel, PPT), iWork, WPS, PSD, Ai, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, PSD, Markdown, etc.
