Developer Options disabled on Huawei phone

Developer options on Android is a set of sensitive settings that are meant for Android developers. They are hidden by default. If you want to show these options, you can manually activate them. Mi users can follow these steps to turn on Developer Options on Xiaomi phone. It works almost the same across various Android devices, like Samsung, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Motorola, Asus, Nokia, LG and more. On Huawei phones however, the system will hide or turn off Developer options on the device automatically even after you have already enabled them from Settings. Is there any way to keep the Developer options enabled on Huawei phone?

Unlike other Android devices, Huawei phone may hide or turn off Developer options. If you don’t want to disable or hide Developer options on Huawei phone, you can turn on the ADB debugging.

Go to Settings and follow these steps to enable Developer Options on Huawei phone first. Then find and activate the “Allow ADB debugging in charge only mode” option which is one of the Developer Options. Once this option is enabled, the system will not turn off the Developer options on Huawei phone automatically.

As a side note, if you want to backup content from Huawei mobile to your PC or Mac via USB, you can make use of its free phone manager called HiSuite. Unlike other third-party Android phone data manager or transfer tools, this one does not require USB debugging. You can simply turn on the HDB mode on Huawei phone without the need for Developer options or USB Debugging.
