Disable proxy server in Windows 10

Can’t open any webpage using Microsoft Edge but websites load file if you use Chrome, Firefox or other web browsers on Windows 10? There maybe various reasons to cause websites not load in your Edge browser. Misconfigured or invalid proxy setting is one of them. If you can open web pages using third-party web browsers, but can’t load websites in Edge browser, can’t open Microsoft Store, you can double check see if there is a proxy error. In this article, we will show you two ways to disable proxy server in Edge Settings and disable proxy server in LAN settings for Windows 10.

Method 1. Turn off proxy in LAN settings for Windows 10

At the left end of the Taskbar, you can see the search box. Search for “Internet options” to quickly open Internet options on your Windows 10 PC.

When the Internet Properties window opens, switch to the Connections tab. Click LAN settings at the bottom of this window. The Local Area Network (LAN) Settings opens in a new window, disable Use automatic configuration script and Use a proxy server for your LAN boxes, and then click OK.

Method 2. Disable proxy server in Edge Settings

Launch Edge browser on your Windows 10 computer. Click the More button (three dots) in the top-right corner of the browser window. Select Settings from the drop-down menu. Then choose Advanced Settings > Open proxy setting. Then disable Automatic proxy setup and Manual proxy setup if any. Finally save the change.
