Enable Developer Options on Xiaomi Redmi Phone

Determine MIUI version on Xiaomi & Redmi first

Since different MIUI versions have different settings and designs. You may need to find out your MIUI version on Xiaomi & Redmi before you can turn on Developer options or turn on USB debugging mode on them.

Tap on Settings on Xiaomi or Redmi mobile phone, then scroll down to the bottom and select About Phone or About device.

Now you open the details of your mobile phone device, including model number, Android version, MIUI version, CPU, RAM, Internal memory, baseband version, kernel version, build number, etc. Look for an option named MIUI version or MIUI build number.

Part 2. Enable Developer Options on Xiaomi & Redmi which is on MIUI 8, 9, 10, 11

Open Settings on your Mi phone, tap My device >> All specs >> MIUI version. Just tap the MIUI version for 7 times until you see the message saying you are now a developer.

Go back to Settings home screen, scroll down to the System & Device section, choose Additional settings >> Developer options, you can then enable the developer option, USB debugging and other advanced options on Xiaomi or Redmi phones that are running on MIUI 11, MIUI 10, MIUI 9, MIUI 8.

Part 4. Activate Developer Options on Xiaomi & Redmi on MIUI 5

  1. Go to Settings >>  About Phone >> Android version.
  2. Tap on “Android version” for 7 times until developer mode appears. You’ll see the “You are now a developer” message appears on screen.

    I’ve bought a Redmi Note 7 . On the locked display, and still when the display Is black ( stand-by -off) the smartphone didn’t show any notifications like SMS, missings calls, apps, etc. I have trying to enable all possibile options from the settings menù,
    but i’ve failed.
