  1. Hello Again.. I have followed your link and downloaded the Wondershare trial to erase info, so I connected the phone to the computer since it does recognize it. but when prompted to the screen as shown above there is another screen which you have to go into first and states “please allow USB DEBUGGING ON YOUR DEVICE” which I cannot do, since screen won’t turn on and I am unable to go into the settings. Is there another way to skip this step and erase directly?

    Thank you.

    1. Yes, there is another way you can perform a hard reset on Android phone.
      whats’ your phone model please?

    2. Hi,
I have received your email about the phone mode.
Since other visitors may have the same issue, so I share these tips here for public access other than replying your email.

You can follow below tips to perform a hard reset on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge:

      1. Hold the power button down until your phone turns off.
      2. When the phone is off, press the Volume up + Home + Power button simultaneously for a couple of seconds. You can release the buttons when the Samsung logo appears. This will boot your phone into the Recovery Mode.
      3. You can now use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select.
      4. By default the first option on the screen is ‘reboot system now’. You need to select “wipe data/factory reset” by pressing the volume down button for several times.

This is list of items in the recovery mode on S6 edge I have found from other websites:
      reboot system now
      apply update from ADB
      apply update from external storage
      apply update from cache
      wipe data/factory reset
      wipe cache partition
      ….

If it is true, you need to press the volume down button for 4 times. Since your phone screen is broken, you can’t see anything on it. We are not 100% sure of which item has been selected. A workaround here is to use another phone with good screen in the same model, so you can perform hard reset on both of them. In this way you can use the other phone as the display. For example, if you press the volume down button for 4 times and the ‘wipe data/factory reset’ item is selected on the ‘good’ phone, you can do the same thing on your ‘broken’ phone, …

      5. Select “Yes — delete all user data” or navigate to this item by pressing volume down button if it is not the first item (I have not verified that). After that press the power button to select or confirm. This will erase everything on your Galaxy S6 edge. The phone will do its thing for a few minutes. When it’s done, select “Reboot system now” if it does not reboot the system automatically.
