Install apps from unknown sources on LG mobile phone

Apple App Store is the official store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users, and also the only one unless they jailbreak their devices. On the other hand, Android users have quite a few app stores to choose from, such as Samsung App Store, Amazon App Store, Xiaomi App Store, Anzhi Market, Tencent App Gem, etc. To download Android apps, games from third party stores, you do not need to root your phone or tablet. You can simply configure your device settings to install apps from third party Android market or app stores.

Today we’ll use a LG smartphone to show you how to install apps from unknown sources on LG mobile phone. The “unknown sources” means any other third party app stores other than Google Play Store.

By default, apps from outside the official Google Play Store are not allowed to be installed on your LG phone. Even if you saved the apps as .apk files on your LG phone, you won’t be able to install them on your LG mobile. If you tried to do so, your LG phone will block it and you’ll see following warning on your phone screen:

To allow the installation of third party apps or APK files on LG mobile phone, you need to configure the phone’s security setting. On your LG phone, tap on Settings, switch from the Network to General tab, scroll to the Privacy section and tap Security.

The security settings of LG phone opens with various security features. Touch the ON/OFF toggle besides Unknown Sources to allow installation of apps from third party sources or stores other than Google Play Store.

You will then see the following on your phone screen:

Phone and personal data are more vulnerable to attacks by apps from unknown sournces. You agree that you are solely responsible for any damage to your phone or less of data that can result from using these apps.

Tap “Allow” to enable this feature. Now you should be able to install apps from third party stores on your LG mobile phone without any issues.

  1. I have ever done everything that I am supposed to do to try and install third-party apps on my LG K7. When I get to the installation it does not give me the option to install it. Can somebody please help
