How to lock files and documents on Android mobile?
Run this Android file manager on your cell phone. Browse to the files and documents you like to protect with password. If they are placed in various folders, you can move them together in the same folder so you can quickly lock all the files and data in just one go.
Select the files or folder in ES file manager for Android, then tap on the More menu (three vertical dots) at the top right corner of your mobile phone screen, you will then get a drop-down menu with options to manage the selected files and documents on Android mobile phone. Choose Encrypt from thie menu, you will then open another screen like this.
Now you can input a password to protect the selected files and documents on mobile phone to prevent anthorized access. Type the same password twice. If your password is very long, you can enable the “Show password” option when you input the password. Another important feature is the “Encypt file name“. With this opiton enabled, you can not only encrypt the files themselves, but also the file names. So other people can’t open or view the data or files, they have no way to know the real files names. If you do not enable file name encryption, the names of the files may be sensitive information sometimes.
Now you know how to lock files on Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola, Lenovo, Nexus, ZTE, Huawei, Xiaomi, and other Android powered smart phones.
