Looking for a method to bring a background app or window to the top and then lock and display it over any other running programs, even the current program you are working on, on your computer? There isn’t such a feature with even the latest Windows OS. Today we will use a free third-party software tool to help Windows users easily make a window or program always on top.
WindowTop is the only tool you will need. Download and install it on your computer. It is currently available for Windows only. Run the free software, you can then find its icon in the system tray. It is a tray program. Hover the cursor over the title bar of a window, you’ll see a down arrow icon appears. Mouse over it and you’ll see the WindowTop toolbar: SHRINK (to shrink the window), SET DARK (toggle dark mode), SET TOP(keep the window stay on top), OPACITY (to set the window’s opacity). Select the Set Top option to keep a window always on top. Click on the option again to reset the window.
