Sometimes you may want to hook your iPhone or iPad to your TV or computer, such as playing mobile games on the big screen, get the presentation from phone onto big screen, using your phone as remote control when presenting information at meetings, etc. Luckily there is a feature built inside iOS, called Screen Mirror, that can help us cast screen from our iPhone or iPad to Apple TV. It is already on our iOS device and ready to use. Just open the Control Center on iPhone or iPad to find it and enable it.
Access Control Center on iPhone iPad
- On iPhone X or later or iPad with iOS 12 or later: Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
- On iPhone 8 or earlier or iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen.

Connect your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or other AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. Tap Screen Mirroring, choose the TV to start mirroring screen from iPhone or iPad.
What if I need to see my iPhone or iPad on a Windows or Mac screen?
The answer is also AirPlay or Screen Mirroring. However you will need to install third-party AirPlay receiver software, such as X-Mirage, Apower Phone Mirror, AirServer, etc. X-Mirage is the easiest and also the cheapest one. Apower Mirror is the most expensive and also the powerful program with extra features.
Mirror Screen from iPhone, iPad to computer
Screen mirroring from iOS device to computer involves the similar process. Connect iPhone/iPad and your PC/Mac to the same Wi-Fi network. Run the AirPlay receiver software on your PC or Mac, then access the Control Center on your iPhone or iPad, touch Screen Mirroring, choose your PC or Mac name to start casting screen.
