How to open and view Outlook OST files?
OST is another type of Outlook data files, also known as offline Outlook data file. When you use a Microsoft Exchange Server account, you can configure Outlook to save a synchronized copy of your data, email messages, calendar, and other items, on your local computer in a OST file. It allows Outlook users to work offline or use the Cached Exchange Mode which is activated by default. Since the OST file is synchronized with the Exchange server or your data on remote server, you do not need to create backups of this file and this OST file is usually very large as it contains a lot of your personal data, such as your Outlook Inbox, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and many more. Unfortunately you can’t import OST files into Outlook directly. Currently Outlook accepts only PST files. If you like to import OST files to Outlook or open OST file without Outlook, you can use this OST to PST converter. Run the OST to PST converter, you will be prompted to select or find OST files from your computer. See Outlook data file location on Windows 10 PC, if you can’t find the Outlook mailbox or use the built in Find Outlook Mailbox feature to search and select the Outlook data file (OST). After that hit the Scan now button, then the OST viewer and converter software will access the OST file, open and list all data contained in it. You can then find, view, save or convert any email messages in the OST file using this OST viewer and converter.
