You can find it from below path: mnt/extSdCard/Tencent/MicroMsg if you are using a Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos. It varies depending on the phone model you use. In this Samsung phone model we tested, we found a list of folders with random numbers and letters, you need to open each of them to find the sight videos you sent or received through Wechat on Android phone. The WeChat Sight videos will be MP4 files saved on your Android phones. To export WeChat sight videos from Android phone to computer, connect your phone to computer through USB data cord, browse to the WeChat Sight videos folder saved on your SD card, copy the sight videos and saved them on to your computer hard drive or media library on your PC or Mac machines.

How to share my friend sight in my own moment?
Unfortunately WeChat does not allow us to do this. If you want to do that, you may need to save the sight shot to your computer, then publish it to a third party video hosting service and share it as a link in WeChat moments.

I’ve run into a short video, which is not found in neither /Tencent/MicroMsg nor
mnt/extSdCard/Tencent/MicroMsg when hooking up my Samsung phone to a PC. There was no option available for me to download or save it to the phone. I have managed to downloaded the “video” using Video Downloader Helper in Firefox or Chrome, but it’s only a media file .mp3 that is a song for the video.
I looked into their source code a bit, it has listed nineteen JPG’s and its code seems to rotate these JPG’s with the song in XYZ.mp3. I don’t know how or if there is a way to download this video. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Honestly, it is very difficult to find the source video file using the stock file manager on the phone. Tencent may have encrypted these files in recent updates so we can’t get them.
hi, do you know how to send an mp4 video as a sight? i know you can send videos (like from youtube/etc and it’s also longer than 6 seconds) as sight videos, but i cannot figure out how. any help? thanks!
Do you want to cut recorded videos to less than 6 seconds on mobile phone? If so you can refer to this tutorial to trim videos on android phone.

so here, from what i know, a sight is a 6 seconds long video that you record yourself with your phone camera.
but someone sent me this 1 minute long, 4MB music video (which obviously was taken from youtube or other video-sharing sites) as a sight, where the video automatically plays itself without having to press the play button. not a as video where you have to press the play button first.
i’ve been looking around on how to do it but i still can’t figure it out.

When I long press the video instead of “save to phone” or something like that it says “Find in Chat” please help!

If you only see “Find in Chat”, not the “Save video”, it means the video you selected is the sight video, other than regular videos. you can scroll up to the iPhone Wechat sight video export section, download the iPhone data recovery on to your computer and use it to scan iPhone and extract iPhone sight to computer.
