ScreenToGif is a free, open source screen, webcam and sketchboard recorder with an integrated editor for Windows. As its name says, it can record screen and export as animated GIF image file. However it does more than screen to GIF recording. It can also record webcam and sketchboard.
When you finish the recording, the recorded video will be imported into the built-in editor so you can preview, edit it before save it to your computer. What’s more, you can even load existing videos and images and edit them with the integrated media editor. For example, you can resize, crop, flip, rotate video, insert, delete frames, alter resolutions, add text or captions, apply transition animations, add shadow, borders, pixelate videos, add drawings or shapes, impose watermarks and so on. Except saving the recordings or videos as GIF, you can also export them as Apng, video, project file, image frames or PSD.
