Share files on mobile phones using SHAREit WebShare

SHAREit is a very popular free wireless file transfer app on Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, Google Play. It lets you transfer files from different devices like mobile phones, tablets, and computers. From the user reviews we find some users have trouble connecting phone with PC or connecting two phones for data exchange. In fact, you can also make use of its WebShare feature on the other computer or mobile phone. It is very straightforward and trouble-free. Sometimes when the one you like to share files with does not have this app installed on his/her phone, you can also use the WebShare functionality as a workaround.

  1. Is it possible to use this function as pc2pc file sharing? In this case sender will be a laptop computer. I know for a fact that Mobile phone to PC is possible. but how do I share files pc2pc using webshare?

    1. i am afraid the webshare is only available with the mobile version. For PC2PC transfer, its desktop version needs to be installed on both computers, and the computers need to be connected via WiFi, hotspot or LAN. after that click the “Connect to PC” on the top right corner menu and follow onscreen tips to share files between PCs.

    1. generally speaking it should be your Downloads folder on PC unless you have changed the downloads folder from your web browser settings. In many cases, it should be C:\Users\yourusername\Downloads\.
