Stop “Trust this Computer” message on iPhone

I am trying to backup WhatsApp data from iPhone to computer. When I connect the iPhone to the Windows 10 computer via USB, I get the “Trust this computer” message. Then I press “Trust” and the iPhone won’t connect. Instead the “Trust this computer” keeps popping up again and again. The message appears on loop. From the Windows Task Manager, I found the Apple Mobile Device Service is stopped and starting this service seems to do the trick.

Here is how to start Apple Mobile Device Service from Task Manager in Windows 10.

Right-click on a blank area on the Taskbar at the bottom of your computer screen. Select Task Manager from the pop-up menu. Now the Task Manager opens in a new window. Switch from Process to Services tab. Find Apple Mobile Device Service, right click on it and choose Start.

Disconnect and re-connect iPhone to Windows 10 computer via USB. The annoying “Trust this computer” message is gone and I managed to backup my WhatsApp chats to the Windows 10 PC.

Note that there are different reasons the repeated Trust this Computer message occur, and you may need other fixes to resolve this annoying message.
