  1. I use an app called crop & trim videos and it work like charm for trimming, if this can help

    1. is the video very big? if so, try a small one see if any update. if your Android phone can’t trim those big videos, you may consider exporting the video to a computer and trim the videos on your computer. See how you can trim videos on PC/Mac.

    1. different phones may have different settings. normally you should see both options to trim source video or save as a new video. The safe way is to take a new video on your phone, then trim it see if you can see the “save as new video” option.
