Today, we will discuss how you can do it on a LG smartphone that is also Android powered. The LG phone we use in this demo is running on Android 7. For earlier phone model and Android versions, the settings or appearance may differ.

Steps to turn on USB debugging on LG mobile phones

Google has hidden USB debugging in Android system. To activate this option, you will need to firstly turn on another hidden feature Developer options as USB debugging is just one of the many settings designed for Android developers and advanced users. Check out these steps to turn on Developer options and settings on LG phone.

Once the Developer options has been activated on your phone, go to Settings. Then switch to the General tab and scroll down to the bottom section where you can find the Developer options on LG mobile. Touch on it, you will see a list of all available advanced settings about bug report, desktop backup password, screen awake, OEM unlock, system update, mock location, etc. Turn on Developer options on your phone. Then find and touch the toggle to enable USB debugging under Developer options. You will see a warning message saying:

Allow USB debugging?

USB debugging is intended for development purposes only. Use it to copy data between your computer and your device, install apps on your device without notification, and read log data.

Touch the OK button to confirm.

Allow USB debugging and authorize computer via RSA fingerprint

Your computer RSA fingerprint may be shown when you connect your Android phone to computer for the first time. If the USB debugging/RSA fingerprint dialog come up, press OK button to authorize your computer. If it is your own computer, you may also touch to enable the ‘Always allow from this computer’ option so this USB debugging authorization will not show up the next time your phone is connected to computer via USB.

  1. I restored factory my LG K8 and now when i want to skip welcome part it say google play stopped and it come from the first step and only way to fix it is installing custom rom but i can not turn on usb dobbeging.

    How do I recover deleted messages and deleted contacts after many months of them being gone? They are on a phone that has not been used all this time but I did delete the trash too before I stopped using the phone but now I need some of the messages because they have important info in them.
