Uninstall Folder Lock without Password

If you forgot the Master Password, you can’t access Folder Lock settings or open those locked files or folders by it. You can’t even uninstall the Folder Lock software without the Master Password unless you have disabled the option Uninstall requires a Master Password from its security settings before. By default, this security option will be enabled, so any program uninstall attempt will require Master Password. Now you can choose either to recover the password or uninstall the software without the password. Check out details below.

If you are not a registered user yet, you can buy this software to get your serial key and use it to unlock or register the Folder Lock software and then change the Master Password.

Uninstall Folder Lock and retrieve files without password

On a Windows 10 computer, right click on the Start button, choose Run from the pop-up dialogue. Type in “regedit” without the quotes and press Enter to run registry on your Windows PC. Browse to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NewSoftware’s\Folder Lock\Uninstall from the left panel. Double click “Uninstall” on the right panel and change its value data from “1” to “0” and then click “OK” to save the change. Exit Registry Editor.

You can then go to uninstall Folder Lock program from your Windows computer without asking your the Master Password in the process.

Once the Folder Lock software being removed from your PC, the locked files and folders will be put back to their original location. Those lockers created by the Folder Lock program, with extension FLK, FLKW, or FLKA, need to be deleted manually from usually the My Documents folder. You choose the name and path of the Locker when you create it. If you can’t find them from My Documents, search its file extension in Windows Explorer.

  1. Thank you so much for this,the reason I want to uninstall it was exactly because I forgot the password(but I swear its the correct password but it just wont work),I think I have used like one and a half hour to find a solution,again,thank you so much
