Today, we will show you the trick to see the Wi-Fi passwords saved on your Tecno mobile phone.

Note that we will use Tecno Camon 15 which runs on HiOS 6, based on Android 10, in this demo. It may vary slightly if you use a different phone model or OS version.

Step 2. Take a screenshot to save Wi-Fi network details

The Wi-Fi name and password is included in the QR code. It is readable by machines, not our eyes, though. We need to scan and decode the information in a QR code using a scanner. Before that, we need to take a screenshot on Tecno mobile to save it as a still image into the Gallery on our phone.

Swipe down from the top of your Tecno phone’s screen to pull down the Quick Settings & Notification Panel. You can expand the Quick settings and shortcuts bar to find the Screenshot. Tap on it to capture the current window or screen on your Tecno mobile phone.

Step 3. Scan screenshot to recognize the WiFi password

The screenshot with the Wi-Fi network username/password will be saved to the Gallery app on your Tecno phone. There will be a Screenshots folder to save all your screen captures. You have several options to scan QR code on Tecno mobile phones. For example, you can use Google app, Chrome app or Google Photos that are pre-installed on the phone.

Here is how to scan QR code from saved images, pictures or screenshots using Google Photos, which should has been already installed on your Tecno phone. If not, you can download it from the Google Play Store.

Launch the Google Photos app on your Tecno device. Switch to the Library tab from the bottom. Tap on Screenshot album to find and open the screenshot that contains the QR code. Tap on the Google Lens icon. This icon typically looks like a square with a dot in the middle and is usually located at the bottom of the screen.

Since it is a QR code with network details, Google Lens will display its network name, password and network type and the option to join the network.
