White dot when I touch screen of Xiaomi phone

Have you ever seen a white spot where you touch on your phone touch screen? After turning on Developer options on my Xiaomi Redmi mobile, the annoying white dot appears where I touch on the screen. Then I went back to the Developer options settings and found one option called ‘Show touches’ in the Input section was enabled. After disabling this option, the white dot disappears. So if you have the same problem as mine, you can also head to your phone settings, find and uncheck the ‘show touches’ option. On Xiaomi or Redmi phones, it can be found from Settings >> System & Device >> Additional settings >> Developer options >> Input >> Show touches.

Later on, I realized this option can also be found on other Android devices, like Samsung mobile, Lenovo mobile, Motorola, and more. If you are using a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, you can go to Settings >> System >> Developer options >> Input >> Show touches, then activate or deactivate it from there.

The “show touches” can show visual feedback for your touch interactions. This can be really useful sometimes. For example, when you want to create a video demo of some app, show other people how you play a game on mobile, You can turn on to display touches or gesture on the phone before you record screen of your mobile phone. This will make your video demo, screen recording, or game recording much easier to be understood or followed.
