Use Calibre to convert ePub eBooks for iPhone iPad

How to Convert ePub eBooks with Calibre for iPhone?

Step 1. Download and install Calibre.

You can download it from its official site. It runs on Windows, Linux and OS X Systems. You can also download the portable version of Calibre onto a flash drive.

Step 2. Set output profile to iPhone/iPad.

Start the eBook converter for converting eBooks for iPad, iPhone. Set the output profile to iPad under Preferences > Conversion > Common options > Page setup > iPad (this will work for iPhone/iPods as well).

Step 3. Add books to the iPad eBook converter.

Click Add book button on the top left menu bar to add books to the Calibre library/device from files on your computer. You can also drag and drop the ebook you want to convert to ePub into Calibre.

Step 4. Edit Metadata of the eBook – Optional

Click Edit metadata button next to Add book button. You can edit title, authors, sort, rating, tags, Ids, dats, publisher, add comments, etc.

Step 5. Select EPUB as output format which is iPhone compatible – Optional

The output format should default to EPUB. If it’s not, just set EPUB as the default under Preferences > Interface > Behavior > Preferred Output Format > EPUB.

Step 6. Convert eBooks to ePub for iPhone.

Simply click Convert books from the top menu bar, then choose OK from the pop-up dialog.

At the right column of the ebooks converter, you can preview the thumbnail of the selected ebook file. Its author, format and save location can also be found at the lower section. Click ‘Click to open‘ besides the Path to quickly open the folder where the source and converted ebooks are saved.

Now you know how to convert eBook for iPhone ePub format for free. Now add eBooks to your iPhone through iTunes, or emails. Email is the easiest way you can do that. Simply attach your ebooks to an email then send it to yourself. After that go to download the books from email to your iPhone.
