Record system audio in Windows 11
Now that you have downloaded and installed the audio recorder app on your PC, you can follow the steps given below to record internal or system audio using the free recorder app.
Run the recorder app on your Windows PC. Make sure to enable the device in the toolbar first. Click View from the top menu bar, select Toolbars > Device Toolbar, see below screenshot.

In the Device toolbar of this audio recorder, choose Windows WASAPI as the Audio Host, select the device with “(loopback)” in its name in the Recording Device box, for example, “Speakers (loopback)”, “Speakers (Conexant Smartaudio HD)(loopback)”, “Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (loopback)”.

Play the music or audio on your computer, or start the narration or read-aloud in Edge browser. And click the Record button in red in Audacity to start recording any sound plays on your computer. You should see the sound wave in the Audio Track section during the recording process. Click the Stop button to finish the recording.
Play the recorded audio to make sure the audio has been recorded, optionally edit the audio before saving the project or exporting it. To save the recorded audio or music, click File menu > Export. You can choose to export the audio as MP3, WAV, OGG or other formats from Audacity to the hard drive on your Windows PC.
